What's the plural of octopus?

What's the plural of octopus?  Octopuses?  Octopi?  Octopodes?

The reason we want to know is because we've been honing our crochet skills in preparation for a day of octopus crochet and cake at Mortlake Crematorium.

We're delighted to be supporting Octopus for a Preemie in memory of little Luke, who died at just three months old in the neo-natal unit at Chelsea & Westminster Hospital.  Crocheted octopuses are perfect for the tiny babies in the neo-natal unit to grasp onto.  The unit cares for over 600 babies every year so needs a lot of 🐙 .

On Saturday 30th September, we're going to be at Mortlake Crematorium with lots of tea, cake and wool to crochet as many eight legged creatures as we can.  

Everyone is welcome, even people who have never crocheted before!  Experienced crocheters will be on hand to support and advise between 10 and 3.
