This traditionally shaped willow coffin, also known as a wicker coffin, features tapered square ends, beautifully plaited edging and natural hand-woven willow handles. It’s handmade by experienced craftsmen in Somerset.
Weatherbeaten Gold is Somerset Willow’s signature finish. The willow has a golden hue which holds a subtle weathered appearance. To achieve Weatherbeaten Gold, the lightest harvest willow is kept back, then boiled for over eight hours before stripping and treating to produce this unique colour.

Special Touches
Each coffin is handmade in Somerset with great care and attention to detail.
All natural materials
Each coffin is hand-finished with loop and toggle closures, made from natural materials.
Personalised Engraved nameplate
Engraved solid oak nameplates can be inscribed with up to five lines of text. The nameplate will stay with the coffin, carefully attached to the coffin lid using twisted jute cord.
Natural Interior
Each coffin has a beautiful interior made from natural calico cotton. This includes a cotton lining, pillow and a cover sheet.
About Somerset Willow
For four generations, Somerset Willow have carefully hand-woven beautiful products to meet people’s individual requirements. They’ve been creating willow coffins for over 20 years using willow from their own farm, just five miles from their workshop. All their coffins are entirely handmade by craftsmen who have trained for a minimum of five years. It takes approximately two days to hand-weave and hand-finish each coffin.
