Funerals at Linden House in hammersmith
Funerals don’t have to take place at the crematorium or the cemetery. Funerals can take place in an alternative venue, such as Linden House in Hammersmith.
We work with Linden House to support you to have a beautiful funeral in a grade two listed house on the Thames in Hammersmith. Home to the London Corinthian Sailors and Sons of the Thames Rowers, the house offers beautiful, bright and airy rooms with unique river views.
Current COVID safety measures mean we can allow 30 people to attend a funeral at Linden House. The funeral will take place in the beautiful ballroom and you’ll have access to the rest of the house where you’ll be able to take a moment to yourself, or have a chat with family and friends. The Poetic team will be there to guide and support you through the experience.
The funeral can take place in the morning, afternoon or evening. You may want to time the funeral so the sun is setting over the Thames as you’re leaving or arriving.
You can also liaise with the manager of Linden House to organise refreshments, including alcohol, for guests in line with COVID restrictions. Funerals at Linden House are subject to availability and COVID restrictions.
Linden House is a COVID-secure venue and also caters for wakes, memorials and funeral teas. It’s a short drive from local cemeteries and crematoria including Mortlake Crematorium, West London Crematorium and Putney Vale Crematorium.
