Over the past year, the pandemic has opened up more conversations about death, dying and bereavement both within society and amongst individuals. We have all, in our own way, been affected through changing circumstances, non-death, and death losses. Understanding the nuances of the bereavement experience, and how to support each other, contributes to a more grief literate society and a more compassionate world for all of us.
In this training, grief specialist Caroline Lloyd and celebrant Rosalie Kuyvenhoven share insights on bereavement topics that are particularly relevant during this time:

Caroline and Rosalie combine over thirty years of academic expertise and professional experience. They bring evidence-based grief theories and practical knowledge together which will challenge your view on bereavement and help you obtain insights in how to better support the bereaved. Since 2017 they have facilitated a Grief Foundations Course to professionals working with the bereaved, including funeral professionals and solicitors and have a 5* feedback rating.
Caroline authored the expert endorsed ‘Grief Demystified: An Introduction’, has over thirty years' experience in the field, and will finish her PhD at Trinity College Dublin this spring.

Rosalie is an award-winning celebrant in London. Throughout the pandemic, she has helped people find meaningful ways to say their farewells and pay tribute to their person, and to connect people who cannot attend a funeral in person. She has hosted funerals and memorials via Zoom and online Death Cafes to a global audience.
