19th March 1950 – 31st October 2024
Wendy died at St Thomas' Hospital on Thursday 31st October 2024. She was beloved by her family and many friends and will be dearly missed by us all.
To remember and celebrate Wendy’s life, we would like to invite you to her funeral and wake.
Wendy’s funeral will take place at Kemnal Park Crematorium on Monday 9th December 2024 from 12.30 to 1.30pm. The service will be livestreamed for those who are unable to attend.
After the funeral, we will gather at Tudor Barn, Eltham from 2pm to share stories and memories of Wendy over food and drink.

Celebration of Life at Tudor Barns

There will be a six-item finger buffet with two vegetarian and one vegan option.
Public transport:
Eltham Railway Station is only five minutes away with fast trains to London Bridge via Lewisham (DLR). There are also regular Buses (124, 132, 160, 161 & 286) to Bromley, Catford, Chislehurst, Eltham and Woolwich.
Parking at the Rugby Club
We have booked Blackheath Rugby Club car park for up to 30 cars (Kidbrooke Lane, London SE9 6TE - entrance via South Circular only). If you would like to park there for free, please RSVP with your number plate (all cars must provide license plates).
Parking on road:
Kidbrooke Lane (SE9 6TE), Well Hall Road and the surrounding roads have ample parking from 80p (free parking from 5:30pm and on Sundays) and Eltham Station also has ample parking which is within a 5 minute walk from us.
Speaking at the Celebration of Life
There will be the opportunity to speak at the celebration of life for those who wish to. We are allocating 3 minutes to each speaker, so that as many of you can take part as possible. Please RSVP below to express your interest ASAP.
Dress code
Smart/casual with lots of colour. Option to wear something with a William Morris design, if you have it!
Flowers
Instead of sending flowers, we kindly ask you to make a donation to St Christopher’s Hospice where Wendy was due to transfer.
Thank you all for the kind words and sympathy cards we have received over the past few weeks. We have been so comforted by the outpouring of love and support.
